FOUNDATION

Your energy costs are probably wrong

Most commercial facilities overpay for electricity — not because they use too much, but because they're on the wrong rate, missing credits they qualify for, or absorbing billing errors no one catches. The savings are already in your bills. They're just buried in tariff structures that weren't designed to be transparent.

ClearPower Partners finds those savings, documents them, and makes sure they hold — month after month, bill after bill. We share the results 50/50. If we find nothing, you pay nothing.

TRACK RECORD

25 years in energy markets. Not consulting — operating.

ClearPower Partners was founded by the team behind BlueStar Energy — a retail electricity company that grew from a two-person startup to an Inc. 500 company, operated across multiple states and wholesale power markets, and was ultimately acquired by American Electric Power (NYSE: AEP).

That wasn't advisory work. It was managing real pricing exposure, real billing systems, real regulatory risk, and real financial consequences — every month, at scale. The same discipline now drives every CPP engagement: conservative assumptions, verified baselines, and savings measured in actual dollars on actual bills.

LEADERSHIP

Built by someone who’s done the work

Guy Morgan is an entrepreneur and former energy company CEO with a track record of building, operating, and scaling complex businesses where performance, accuracy, and accountability mattered.

He founded and led BlueStar Energy, growing it from a two-person startup into one of the most successful retail energy companies in North America. In 2008, BlueStar was ranked the #2 fastest-growing private company in the United States and became a mainstay on the Inc. 500 list until its acquisition. The company operated across multiple states and retail power markets—managing pricing exposure, billing accuracy, wholesale market risk, and regulatory complexity with real financial consequences. BlueStar was ultimately acquired by American Electric Power (NYSE: AEP).

BlueStar was also recognized with an InfoWorld 100 Award for the development and deployment of groundbreaking IT systems that disrupted U.S. retail energy markets, reflecting a focus on data integrity, automation, and systems built to operate reliably at scale—not theoretical analytics.

Guy was named Ernst & Young Midwest Entrepreneur of the Year in 2011.

His background combines operating leadership with rigorous technical and financial training. Guy is an alumnus of: the Harvard Business School, the NYU Stern School of Business, École des Hautes Études Commerciales de Paris (HEC-Paris), the London School of Economics and the University of Maryland. He is also a graduate of the U.S. Naval Nuclear Power School, where precision, discipline, and accountability are non-negotiable.

Guy is a Service-Disabled Veteran. Military service and executive leadership reinforced the principle that defines ClearPower Partners today: results only matter when they can be proven—and sustained.
