Why ClearPower exists
ClearPower Partners exists to solve a problem most energy advisors avoid: delivering savings that are real, measurable, and sustained—without asking clients to take the risk.
Too much of the industry relies on projections, incentives, and one-time wins. We operate differently. Our work is grounded in real bills, defensible baselines, and accountability that holds up month after month.

Built by someone who’s done the work
Guy Morgan is an entrepreneur and former energy company CEO with a track record of building, operating, and scaling complex businesses where performance, accuracy, and accountability mattered.
He founded and led BlueStar Energy, growing it from a two-person startup into one of the most successful retail energy companies in North America. In 2008, BlueStar was ranked the #2 fastest-growing private company in the United States and became a mainstay on the Inc. 500 list until its acquisition. The company operated across multiple states and retail power markets—managing pricing exposure, billing accuracy, wholesale market risk, and regulatory complexity with real financial consequences. BlueStar was ultimately acquired by American Electric Power (NYSE: AEP).
BlueStar was also recognized with an InfoWorld 100 Award for the development and deployment of groundbreaking IT systems that disrupted U.S. retail energy markets, reflecting a focus on data integrity, automation, and systems built to operate reliably at scale—not theoretical analytics.
Guy was named Ernst & Young Midwest Entrepreneur of the Year in 2011.
His background combines operating leadership with rigorous technical and financial training. Guy is an alumnus of: the Harvard Business School, the NYU Stern School of Business, École des Hautes Études Commerciales de Paris (HEC-Paris), the London School of Economics and the University of Maryland.. He is also a graduate of the U.S. Naval Nuclear Power School, where precision, discipline, and accountability are non-negotiable.
Guy is a Service-Disabled Veteran. Military service and executive leadership reinforced the principle that defines ClearPower Partners today: results only matter when they can be proven—and sustained.
